Turkey Bacon and Swiss Grilled Cheese
Ingredients
- 2.2 lbs (1 kg) 41278 Butterball Salt-reduced Bacon-style Turkey or 41284 Butterball Applewood Smoked Bacon-style Turkey, cooked
- 50 slices Bread, whole wheat*
- 1 lb (454 g) Butter
- 25 slices Swiss cheese, slices (4” x 4”)
- 50 slices Tomatoes, sliced
Directions
- Cook 41278 Butterball Salt-reduced Bacon-style Turkey or 41284 Butterball Applewood Smoked Bacon-style Turkey as per package directions.
- Butter one side of each piece of bread.
- On each slice of bread layer: 2 slices cooked Butterball Salt-reduced Turkey Bacon, 1 slice Swiss cheese, and 2 tomato slices.
- Top with the other piece of bread. Ensure that the buttered sides are facing out.
- Heat a large skillet or flat-top to medium heat.
- Place sandwiches on skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Optional garnish: serve with dill pickle spear. *Bread option: substitute Italian bread or Multi-grain
